Walden Play

Start: Sat, 04/19/2008 - 17:00 End: Sun, 04/19/2009 - 23:48

Thoreau is America's original "tree hugger" and forefather of our environmental movement. Yet, the generation in schools right now haven’t a clue about Thoreau. The Walden play is helping introduce him to thousands of folks who have heard about him and know some of his quotes, but nothing about his life and his thinking. With the success of the Walden play and radio drama we are ready to take the next huge step in our vision for Walden .

This two act, four character play, designed for use by high schools, colleges, community theaters and home schools, is a conversation between Thoreau and Emerson set during the final two days Thoreau spent in his cabin before leaving Walden Pond. Walden can be performed at any time, but we encourage you to consider it as an Earth Day 2009 event.

Yes, hosting 2010.
