Earth Day 2009, April 22, marked the beginning of The Green Generation Campaign which will also be the focus of the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day in 2010.
With the launch of The Green Generation Campaign in 2009, an environmentally-aware generation will be introduced by actively engaging Junior students/educators through schools across Jordan in an inspired week of environmental learning and service!

Creating an awareness campaign is essential in managing energy use and reducing waste in today’s hectic world. This community leadership initiative will inspire students of the junior schools/teachers and provide them with opportunities where they can work together to achieve a common goal of helping save the planet. This project is student-oriented, working in collaboration with school community to provide strategies in order to create over-all environmental awareness and basic education in methods of conserving available resources, as well as developing a successful recycling program
