Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School “Green E-Fair”
CORAOPOLIS, PA -On Saturday, April 25, 2009, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School will be hosting a Green E- Fair in observance of Earth Day.
The Campus Clean-up is from 8am until 11am then our Green E-Fair will run from noon until 4pm. Many worthy local organizations offering a variety of products and services (from recycling of compact fluorescent light bulbs, building materials, and batteries to consignment shops, solar energy consultants, and water conservation experts) will be in attendance at this free event. The major portion of the event will take place in the school’s upper parking lot area while a few activities will take place in the school but plenty of visitor parking will be available at the nearby Angela Activities Center lot.
This free event is a great opportunity for local, Earth-friendly groups, companies, individuals, and organizations to get together. Each participating group will have a display table and a representative available to speak with visitors. There will be opportunities to donate and recycle various materials, and to enjoy music by a local DJ, make E-Co friendly crafts, buy baked goods, and have all sorts of E-Co fun, in addition to collecting a wealth of information. The OLSH Class of 2009 will plant their senior tree at 4:30pm and the event will end with a Green themed, family friendly movie at 6pm in the school auditorium.
