Creek Restoration Community Day...
Parents and kids encouraged!
When: April 22, 2009, 10am -1pm
Where: Del Rey Elementary School, (Orinda Creek section of land)
Del Rey Elementary 25 El Camino Moraga Rd, Orinda, Ca
What: We are continuing a youth-based restoration project on this section of Orinda Creek. All volunteers are encouraged to participate, if you can garden, you can do this!
We will be removing non-native plant species, such as Ivy, and planting native species that will support the creek habitat and reduce erosion. The event will be led by local bay area biologists and will be a kid- friendly event, offering environmental education for all!
Learn how to do restoration work for your own backyard.
Learn about local eco-systems.
Give a few hours to the community and nature!
Please show up at the site, you can bring shovels and gloves area good idea.
