RED CLAY STATE PARK 'S CHESTNUT TREE PLANTING

Spring Garden Preparation & planting: A Cherokee traditional foods garden of corn,beans,squash: "The 3 Sisters" will be planted on Wednesday,4/16/08 at a Volunteer's Park Workday, 12-5 PM
Meet at Park Headquarters!

Saturday, April 19,2008, from 12 noon-
Re-introduction of the Chestnut tree to the area by planting 7 Chestnut saplings and dedicating each to one of the 7 Cherokee clans. To provide mast for the abundant wildlife flourishing on the 200+ acre TN State Historical Park. Admission Free! All ages volunteers welcome!

Tuesday, Celebrate Earthday! Tour one of your State or national Parks. Red Clay State Historical Park welcomes all visitors to the park for walking or guided tours.. all free to the public every day. Visit the Tree walk, the Blue Hole springhead and the Cherokee Nation's Eternal Flame. No fee for admission or parking. Open 08:00-Sunset.
