Earth Day in Moscow

The Earth Day Eco Festival took place on April 26th, 2008 at the memorial complex on POKLON GORA, VICTORY PARK, a key sight of Moscow, boosting grand architectural elements and unparalleled in its popularity among city visitors and locals alike.

The Festival was supported by the European Council and UNESCO, and it featured “direct actions” like aquatic environment cleaning initiatives of smaller rivers and natural fishponds, as well as terrain cleaning. There also were art contests with the environmental preservation as the focal point.
