Earth Day 2009 in Cleveland, Ohio

On Sunday, April 19 at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm the Earth Day Coalition will present their 20th annual EarthFest celebration. The event is confirmed as the longest running Earth Day festival in the nation. EarthFest is also Ohio’s largest environmental education event, drawing tens of thousands of people and families with concern for the environment.

EarthFest 2009 will feature over 160 exhibitors working to create sustainable environmental and climate change solutions in areas like Clean Transportation, Renewable Energy, Green Home Improvement, Environmental Science, and Local and Organic Foods. Other exhibits and activity areas will feature groups working in the ecological non-profit sector, environmental science, and children’s education. Live entertainment flows all day, and everyone who attends will have a chance to earn great prizes and take home free giveaways.
