Earth Day in Buenos Aires

More than 10,000 people gathered at the Plaza de las Naciones Unidas in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to celebrate Earth Day 2008. The environmental group Agencia de Comunicación Ambiental BCA organized the firs mass Earth Day event in the country’s history, with the support of Earth Day Network.

Attendees enjoyed a day of education, activism and fun, where yoga classes were offered along with short documentaries on the impacts of climate change, music with a conscience and dozens of stands where the bonaerense crowd could find out how to green their lives and join the global Call for Climate.
